Our COVID19 message

Actons Hotel are delighted to announce that we will be reopening on Wednesday 2nd June to our residents, followed by outdoor dining for Non-Residents and Leisure Centre Members on the 7th June in accordance with the most recent government announcement . 

Our team are very excited to open our doors once again to welcome everyone back. In the meantime, we are all working hard to ensure that all policies and procedures are in place to ensure that your stay is both safe and enjoyable. 


Health & Safety

We have been accredited with the COVID19 Safety Charter, endorsed by Failte Ireland and the Government of Ireland. This involved all of our staff taking part in hygiene and safety control training, following the recommended cleaning and safety guidelines.

We have worked with the Irish Hotel Federation to develop comprehensive protocols and standards. Sanitisation stations have been installed in all key locations in the hotel and team areas. We carry an hourly touch point cleaning in all areas, all doors are held open where possible, and we have increased deep cleaning in all areas. You may choose not to have your room serviced during your stay, if so, please leave a Do Not Disturb sign on your door and inform reception. We will be happy to provide fresh linen and towels if required. 

Recommended PPE for our staff members is available including masks, increased handwashing stations for team members.


Social Distancing

We guide our guests and ask all guests and visitors to observe 2 meter social distancing. Floor markings and arrows are in place to allow smooth flow around public areas. Protective screens have been installed at reception and in Sidney's Bar. Access to the hotel lifts is strictly one person at a time or with a person from the same household. The use of stairs is encouraged where possible. We have rearranged physical layouts in all areas to facilitate social distancing.

All guests and staff members are required to wear face masks while in public areas.



In accordance with the recent government guidelines, indoor dining is now available to non-residents who can provide their EU Digital Certificate with the QR Code. We will also accept the vaccination card along with photo identification.

 Our current guidelines in place include the following: 

Food served from 12.00 until 21.00 

We will advise our residents to make their dinner reservations prior to their arrival. We will not be taking any non-resident bookings, and will work on a first come, first serve basis until further notice.

Maximum of 6 people per table

Multiple tables cannot be booked

We are unable to guarantee table availability for non-residents after 5pm daily. We would advise that non-residents contact the hotel directly to check table availability

All areas including bars and residents lounges must be vacated by 23.30

Cashless payment is encouraged, by a card or a room charge.

Leisure Centre
